It is is with great sadness within the Toronto Ant Community, and from all within the National Ant Association that we say a fond a farewell to a past NSW FA President,
LAURIE MARSHALL (TASC.)Who passed away suddenly, at home on Sunday 21st Sept. 2008.

For those of you who are not aware, and may not have had the opportunity to know him, years ago Laurie was a driving force within the Ant Association, local, state and National levels. He spent nearly every weekend with his two boys TY (currently coaching) and CLINT MARSHALL ,both boys skippering, VENOM and LET LOOSE repectfully.

He took on many roles at TASC as well as State positions, encouraging any young sailor that crossed his path to get into a flying ant and experience the joy of sailing one of the best learning boats for boys and girls.He would always say " these ant kids will be some of the best sailors, you wait and see"

Over time LAURIE set courses,started races, kept records, organised State and National events, coaching / funding, the list goes on an on.
Our sympathy to Laurie's family, and friends, and may Laurie continue to sail on in our memories.
