Welcome all to the new season.

The boys and I had the Ant out at Waranga Basin on the weekend 19/09/09. They went out together to start with and were going really well. They decided to tack but forgot that when you tack you have to change to the other side of the boat. First swim for the season

The youngest got a big fright and I hauled him into the rescue boat and jumped into the water to get the boat back up. OOOO cold! Barb had to operate the rescue boat.

I then sailed with them in turn for a while to get their confidence back. They are now looking forward to going back out again soon.

Enjoy the season.

Cheers.

Col.

G'day Col,
Good to see the boys are back into it.
Are you coming to the Ronstan Sail Inland?
Details can be found at www.yyc.yachting.org.au
Parkdale now have 5 Ants and the club is pushing the Ant for their junior pirates.
We are now sailing out of Yarrawonga Yacht Club. All the weed has gone. The kids have been out a couple of times in the last few weeks and our season starts this weekend. I now have a 29er for me and michelle to sail(or swim)(try to beat the kids across the line).
The Australia Day regatta is on next year and it would be good to get a lot of Ants at this regatta.
It has very good camping available at the Yacht Club and is central to both NSW and VIC. Hopefully the NSW and VIC can get together and share their knowledge.

cheers
Daryl Stone
