I have acquired an old but good ply-hulled Flying Ant, bearing sail number "830" and with St.G.S.C." written on the sail luff, so I presume it was formerly raced at St.George Sailing Club, Sydney. I am aware that the Flying Ant Class Assoc. of Australia started in 1972, but would anyone please be able to advise the approx. date of manufacture/first use of this boat from the sail number?
