Hi. I'm a flying ant sailer from qld and I go 1 up. It's so much fun and I even find it eaiser. I have a double tiller that is about twice normal size, and am looking at putting an a-cemetrical up front. I really want to compete in the nationals, but don't know if I'm allowed... Is anyone else sailing their flying ant 1 up? Ella.

G'day Ella,

Sounds like you have a lot of fun on your ant. I'm not part of the offical Ant Association so cannot speak offically but I think you have to sail 2 up and use a symetrical spinnaker for the Nationals (As per constitution thingy).

If you like sailing your ant 1 up for fun, keep doing it. You've obviously got good skills.

I'm sure the other ant sailors would like to have more competition at the Nationals. If you can't get a crew, you could try contacting the NSW association, they may be able to organise a crew for you for the Nationals. Just an idea.
